On average, every two to three weeks, our Greenery Specialists visit our clients’ offices to make sure that every plant is healthy, well-maintained and looking its best. Their work requires experience, attention to detail and the right equipment to ensure that each plant receives the care it needs.

In this case, Johann's day starts early. First he arrives at his destination and prepares all the needed tools for him to be able to take care of the different plants. His equipment consists of watering cans, soil, different types of scissors, cloths for cleanup, stakes to support the plants and thread to tie if needed as well as a wagon to place everything on. Once everything is prepared, he will make his way to the scheduled office. 

Thanks to their experience, our Greenery Specialists are familiar with the layout of each office and know exactly where every plant is located. Although every office and every plant is different, they follow a clear and structured routine to ensure that each plant receives the care it needs.

Johann first fills up the watering cans and when filled he can start his walkthrough. Starting with the first plant, he has to check the state of the plant. He will inspect if the plant looks healthy or sick or has any signs at all. If the plant looks good, he will proceed by taking off all the dead leaves and cutting some of the branches off. After doing so, he can take care of every leaf by either shaping them or just cutting off the edges. After doing so, he will water the plants.

Important Information for maintaining plant health

Because our Greenery Specialists pay a visit about every 2-3 weeks, it is essential to ensure that each plant receives the appropriate amount of water. Overwatering must be avoided, as excessive water can damage the plants. During each visit, the Specialists check the water-level indicator and refill the tube and pot with the precise amount of water required to maintain the plant's optimal condition. 

The last step Johann does, is to clean the pot if needed and also dust off every leaf to make everything look spotless. If needed the Greenery Specialist will also rotate the plant in order for every leaf to get sunlight.

Should a plant show signs of disease or deterioration, the Greenery Specialist evaluates and initiates its replacement. To make this process possible, they use an app that shows each office layout and plant placement. There, they can mark the exact plant that has to be exchanged and make a request for it to be ordered. After a couple of weeks or sometimes even after a couple of days, the plant will arrive and the Greenery Specialist can pick it up and change it at their next visit.

Moving on to the next office

This planned out procedure gets repeated on every plant in the office of our clients. 

In the end, with the office taken care of and the tools packed up, Johann moves on to his next client, repeating the same careful process and bringing a little more greenery into every workplace he visits.
